That’s why we agree how long you want me for and I charge per hour. And to keep you in control I keep you posted on how things are going – so when I’m nearing the end of your time allowance you can tell me to stop work or keep going.

I’m Alison Slack…

… and I pick up the slack in your business. It’s something I’ve been doing for over 25 years as a PA for a whole host of companies. I’ve worked with district councils, architects, lawyers, photographers, life coaches, osteopaths, start-ups and budding novelists, to name just a few.

In 2015 I set up on my own as a virtual assistant so I could help businesses that wanted office support they could dip in and out of. I could be there when they needed me, gone when they didn’t.

I’m a super-efficient, multi-tasking, highly organised person who quietly gets things done. I’m also a bit of a bossy boots – in a good way. I don’t tell you how to run your business, but I don’t hold back on helpful suggestions that could save you time or money (or both). And I’m a great listener – so I quickly get to know you and your business and what you need from me.

What drives me? I want your business to succeed – so I love taking on all the tasks you hate/don’t have time for/aren’t any good at and freeing you up to focus on what you’re brilliant at.

When I’m not working…

…I’m juggling my own life. There’s always something – making time to see my son when he gets leave (a sub-mariner in the Royal Navy). Spending time with my family and friends, organising a night out or a holiday for me and my husband. To relax I knit, swim and dabble in photography. I also love reading and belong to a book club. My favourite chill-out place is beside the sea at Salcombe in Devon.
